Organization: California Water Efficiency Partnership (CalWEP)

Co-author/Contributor: Maddaus Water Management

MWM collaborated with the California Water Efficiency Partnership (CalWEP) to produce a series of web-based water use efficiency guides focused on Best Management Practices in the areas of CII, Education and Outreach, Landscape, Residential, and Utility Operations. These implementation guides include new and updated technical content and case studies prepared by MWM that provide guidance for conservation coordinators to launch, refine, and grow their Water Use Efficiency programs. The guides include information on topics including CII Codes and Standards, CII Surveys, CII Partnerships and Funding, Public Outreach and Awareness Campaigns, Establishing School Education Focused Partnerships, Landscape Surveys and Audits, Sustainable Landscaping, Water Budgets, Single Family and Multifamily Programs, Residential Codes and Standards, Water Loss, Water Shortage Toolkit, Water Waste, Building a Team with a Conservation Coordinator, and more. To help water agency staff leverage the new implementation guides, MWM conducted a four-part training for new water conservation staff members at CalWEP’s Peer to Peer Conference utilizing the top tips and tricks from the guides.
