More than 95% of MWM’s clients are municipal or governmental agencies, and over 85% of projects come from repeat clients, reflecting the firm’s deep understanding of regulatory, technical, and stakeholder challenges.
MWM is the lead author of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) M52 Water Conservation Programs Planning Manual and has extensive experience applying AWWA/ANSI G480 Water Conservation Program standards. Since the early 2000s, the firm has also authored numerous national and international manuals, guides, and publications related to water conservation frameworks and CII program implementation.

In 2020 the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) initiated an Integrated Water Resources Planning Process to address multiple threats to the region’s water future. Lisa Maddaus served as an expert consultant on the Peer Review Panel.
